Torksey is located on the A156 approximately 12 miles from Lincoln and 6 miles from Gainsborough

Approaching Torksey from Gainsborough side of the A156

If approaching Torksey from the Gainsborough side of the A156 (ie North of Torksey) you need to pass through the village of Torksey, past the Hume Arms public house, as you leave the village and the 50 miles an hour speed restriction, the turning left into the entrance to The Elms is a few 100 yards further down the road, just before the humped back from over Torskey Lock. (If you’ve gone over the bridge, you’ve gone a bridge too far!) As you turn left into the park you will see a large red brick building which holds our offices. Please report to reception.

Approaching Torksey from the Lincoln side of the A156

If approaching Torksey from the Lincoln side of the A156 (ie South of Torksey) the village before us is Fenton. Continue out of Fenton. You will eventually come to a very small section of dual carriage way you will pass the White House public house on your left. As you approach the humped back bridge over Torksey Lock, slow and begin to indicate right. As you go over the brow of the bridge, you will immediately see on your right a large red brick building which holds our offices. Please report to reception.

Approaching Torksey North bound on the A1

If approaching Torksey North bound on the A1. At Markham Moor roundabout you need to take the second turning on your left for the A57. Follow this road which will eventually take you over a toll bridge at Dunham on Trent. Shortly after the bridge, you then take the left turning at the staggered T-junction signed posted Torksey A1133. Follow this road through Laughterton until you reach the A156. At this point you will have the White Swan public house on your left. Turn left on to this small section of dual carriage way. As you approach the humped back bridge over Torksey Lock, slow and begin to indicate right. As you go over the brow of the bridge, you will immediately see on your right a large red brick building which holds our offices. Please report to reception.

Approaching Torksey South bound on the A1

If approaching Torksey South bound on the A1. You will need to exit the A1 at Newark on Trent. Take the A46 signed posted Lincoln, then follow the signs for the A1133. This will take you through the village of Collingham continue on until you reach the staggered T-junction at Newton On Trent. Go straight over the A57 signed post Torksey A1133. Follow this road through Laughterton until you reach the A156. At this point you will have the White Swan public house on your left. Turn left on to this small section of dual carriage way. As you approach the humped back bridge over Torksey Lock, slow and begin to indicate right. As you go over the brow of the bridge, you will immediately see on your right a large red brick building which holds our offices. Please report to reception.
